A lot of the time people get stuck on what they can offer a customer in exchange for contact info.
More than just a white paper or consultation.
So I put together a quick list of creative ways for lead capture
EXAMPLE #1
www.auditshark.com/
Great example of a unique placement and concept.
Notice it’s not the main CTA (see “secure your severs now)
So how do you have a main CTA and provide a secondary way of lead capture.
Offering something that helps the person make decision for your product or service.
*Also note how there isn’t just a headline. The description helps to inform and convince the user to take action.
EXAMPLE #2

Another way to get emails is to go straight for the kill
What is something that addresses a pain point your target prospect deals with?
Make it catchy and bold.
If you can get people to input this way you know they’re a good prospect for you service.
You can nurture and get yourself into a better position to sell.
EXAMPLE #3
http://mixergy.com/hi/
This is an example of a “welcome gate”
A page that a user sees the first time they come to your site.
The user get’s this first way to opt-in and then go onto the site. It’s a great way to get your best content and message out there but obviously isn’t right for every situation.
You can see how there is a clear and direct call to action and the only goal of this page is to get them to opt in. (or move onto the home page)
EXAMPLE #4
http://www.bidsketch.com/
So for a software company would you automatically go for a “sign up now” or is there another way to go about it.
Bidsketch shows that there is. (the only way they can do this is because they have a killer email sequence that goes out after someone opt’s in for this “client proposal example”
This isn’t a white paper it’s simply an example.
Is there an example of a successful project you’ve done you could turn into something prospects could get value from?
Case Studies are a great way to go as well.

EXAMPLE #5
nathanbarry.com
Do you produce a lot of content?
Or have informational pages?
The value you’re going to get out of putting a opt-in form on each of those pages is going to be huge.
Check out this great example.
